May 7
Monday.
Nothing unusual. talked to Mabel Slim today. had fish for dinner and was it good. had a nice long letter from Ruth today. she was well now. ironed some. washed in the yard. the children went to choir practice.
May 8
Tuesday.
All. Well.
drove up to Emils a few seconds to leave a gift to Berenice as it was her 18th birthday. came home and went to bed early.
May 9
Wednesday.
Tut spent the day with Mal. Went to the O.H.B. program. It was good. Bonnie staid with Mabel & Ray. saw Irene & Tom a few minutes Ironed all afternoon & patched some. Bonnie Janes cough is better. hope it will soon leave.
May 10
Thursday.
I was told a sweet little secret today. Tut went to Pauline’s to spend the day I cut a dress for B.J. wrote a letter to Sis Ruth and did a lot of other things.
Bonnies cough is most gone.


May 11
Friday.
Dad left early to day to go to Marble Falls to fish. Mr & Mrs Love came over a while. We all went to the program at school to night even Bonnie. Dad came home late. caught quite a few fish. had a letter from Flossie to day.
May 12
Saturday.
Had fish to day for dinner Uncle Oscar was here for dinner. We went to town I went to Mrs. Sandgren’s a while as we decorated the church. was at Mama’s for coffee. Got a gift from Flossie to day. also a dress from the children. A happy day.
May 13
Sunday.
Mothers Day.- We went to the cementary early this morning to put flowers on the graves. staid home all day and went to church Sun night also riding a while. I enjoyed the sermon so much. Sent Mama Birdie also Mama a boquet of flowers to day.


So glad to hear that Bonnie is finally getting over the whooping cough. Poor bunny was sick for so long!
“I was told a sweet little secret today.” — Pretty sure the secret is that Mabel is expecting. Franklin is born in December 1934, and I couldn’t find another kiddo in the clan that was born this year.
No talk of gardening this week. Wonder if it’s getting as hot then as it did for us this week.
