Lill’s Diary – Week 13

March 26 – April 1, 1934

March 26

Monday.

I cleaned everywhere. Jane and I were here alone most of the day. got a box from Flossie. Tut came home this evening. It is still real cold. We have surly had a long cold spell due to 21 in of snow in north Texas – all well.-

March 27

Tuesday

Another cold day. I fixed Tuts white linen today also a jumper for Ruth. Washed this afternoon talked to Irene – they came out a while to night had hot chocolate & cake. Tut had a date. there is a million & one things to do but all the same

March 28

Wednesday.

A lovely day. I planted some larkspur today. some are blooming – worked in the yard.- planted castor beans dug two new beds.- went to church to night. Just a few there. Ruth and Dad stayed at home – Ed has a bad cold. a pleasant day.

March 29

Thursday.

To day Bonnie Jane and I went to the Ladies Aid rode with Miss Annie. Irene took us up town waited a long time for Ruth M. She went to see Little Women. I talked to Aunt Ellen today.- made some good cookies.

March 30

Friday.

We cleaned today opened the hall door – and moved out on the back porch. It was lots of fun. Watered all my shrubs and worked in the yard some. Dad went to church to night. while Bill Ruth Bonnie & I stayed at home.

March 31

Saturday.

Elizabeth was here for dinner.- we all went to town. Tut & I went shopping she got a hat & shoes. We went to the cemetary to place flowers on the graves. Bonnie Jane and I went to the show tonight. It was real good. a busy day.

April 1

Easter Sunday.

A nice warm day the kiddies went to S.S. & church. Bonnie Dad & I stayed home. To day would of been fathers birthday. Slim’s and Tom’s came over this evening. some of us went to church. Bonnie Tuddie and I went to Uncle Emils. Jane has whooping cough.

Spring cleaning this week and some more gardening. I guess moving out on the back porch means they think winter is over for sure.

I wonder who Elizabeth is. The only Elizabeth I remember was always referred to as Pickie!

April 1 was Lill’s dad Aaron Anderson’s birthday. He passed in 1925, at age 62.
